World's leading luxury car manufacturer, Audi, has launched RS 7 has been launched in india. RS 7 is priced at Rs.1,28,56,000/- (ex-showroom mumbai). Audi RS 7 is powered by 560 PS TFSI V8 engine.
The gear box is tiptronic type with eight speed transmission. Tiptronic transmission is similar to semi-automatic transmission, where gear in gearbox is changed by the car automatically, but the driver has the control when the gear change should come in action. Until, the driver moves the gear stick, car will run on the previous gear(in normal gear box, gear stick movement changes the gear, but in this gear box, gears are automatically changed according to the speed of the vehicle, but the gear change does not come in action, until the driver moves the gear stick for the next gear). Two clutches are used in this type of gear box. At a time one clutch will be in action and the other will be idle.

RS 7 has all-wheel (four-wheel drive) drive power transmission system, which enables sportier ride and quick pick up of the vehicle. Four-wheel drive also enables easier off-road riding. Pick up of the vehicle from 0-100 Kmph is only 3.9 seconds, and the top speed of the vehicle is 305 Kmph. Mileage of RS 7 is not clearly available but audi claims that fuel efficiency is improved by 15% than the previous model.
