National Energy Conservation Award for M&M

Mahindra and Mahindra has received National Energy Award 2013 for its energy efficient manufacturing setup at zaheerabad plant. Many models of mahindra vehicles are manufactured here like Max, Camper, Alfa passenger, etc. The plant has consumed 18% lesser electric energy and 29.96% lesser heat enegy compared to the previous year.

National Energy Award is given by Ministry of Power, Government of India for efficient usage of energy through innovative and effective utilisation methodology in various sectors.

Importantly, Zaheerabad plant receives this award for the 8th time in a row. Indian President, Dr. Pranab Mukerjee presented the award on 16th December 2013 at New Delhi.
