Yamaha Bike sales increases by 40%


India Yamaha Motors starts the new year with a big leap, as its bike sales shooted  up to a 40% high in the sales registry in january 2012. Yamaha had sold 26,300 bikes in january 2012, while its was 21,974 bike during the same period in the last year, january 2011, in india. This contributes to the 20% increase while the remaining 20% is because of the increase in export of the yamaha bikes to foreign nations. Export increases from 6,623 in january 2011, to 13,640 bikes in january 2012. Thus the overall sales increases to 39,940 vs 28,597 bikes during january 2011.

Yamaha bikes constantly growing in terms of the number bikes sold year by year in india. Yamaha reaches its customer through popular campaign "YES!YAMAHA", through out the country. Company's CEO and MD Mr. Hiroyuki  Suzuki, said that they are planning for Best 3S setup, which means, Sales, Service and Spares, in the Tier-2 and tier-3 cities and also in the rural areas for the best customer satisfaction and to boost up their gain. Yamaha accelerating in the indian roads!!!!






Yamaha motors started its sales in india in the year 1984. By August 2001, yamaha india became the complete subsidiary of the japan's Yamaha Motors Co., Ltd.  In the year 2008, Mitsui Co., Ltd. joint with yamaha india as an joint investor in motorcycle manufacturing and thus the company - IYM (India Yamaha Motor Pvt., Ltd.).
IYM is producing best selling products in the automotive industry.  Their manufacturing plants are located at surajpur in uttar pradesh and faridabad in haryana, both producing motorcycles for both domestic and international markets. India Yamaha Motors has a very strong work force, with more than 2000 employees, and also it has strong customer care records, with more than 400 dealers throughout the country. Clearly, Yamaha is BOOMING in India.
